CCTA 2012

January 29th to February 1st, 2012

CCTA 2012 Annual Meeting

At this year CCTA annual meeting and exhibition, Incospec will display test instruments and QoS monitoring instrumentation in line with the Conference theme: "Facing the Technology Challenge".

Other than the test equipment for verifying, maintaining and troubleshooting the Headend, the Network and the Subscribers Premises Line Equipment from the Trilithic family of products, this year Incospec extends its capabilities to the MPEG 2/4 transport stream analysis with products from Triveni Digital Inc. - An LG Electronics Company as well as the Digital Video Monitoring Probe (DVM) for QoS monitoring solutions from Electroline.

We know that the SD/HD dlivery can be very complex.  The variety of networking, encoding, ad insertion, and IP/RF transmission challenges can lead to issues such as audio lip sync errors, loss of program information of audio channels, macro-blocking and black screens, that may cause viewers to seek other sources of content.

Simple visual/audio monitoring of the broadcast content and RF signal level measurements are labour-intensive, increase truck rolls and it is inadequate in identifying and resolving impairments issues.

To identify, evaluate, and resolve problems that threaten the quality of the viewing experience, broadcasters, broadband service providers (Cable Operators), and IPTV network operators need more effective tools of testing and monitoring the MPEG stream itself as well as the robustness of the 8VSB/DVB-C/QAM carriers.

The presentation on MPEG analysis which will be given at this year annual conference in San Juan, PR will explore how tactical and strategic integration of MPEG/RF analyzers and Digital Video Monitoring Probes(DVM) can provide time-saving means for identifying, localizing, and troubleshooting stream and/or RF related issues; allow service providers and their upstream and downstream partners to maintain agreed-upon signal-quality standards and help to minimize churn.

Additionally, we will be displaying the Digital Video Monitoring Probe (DVM) providing performance tracking indicators at Physical RF layer as well as the DOCSIS & MPEG transport stream layer.

Furthermore we will feature products from Trilithic and Triveni Digital Inc. and Electroline.
