Mario Sebastiani founded Incospec (an Independent Communications Specialist) in 1978, doing proof of performance testing for CATV networks. This led to repair services for Headend and network equipment which naturally evolved to the sale of CATV equipment. Since the very start, both the Value Added Reseller and Engineering/Repair Departments at Incospec have always worked hand in hand in providing solutions to the market place. Mr. Sebastiani’s dedication to the industry is well known, being a pioneer in satellite, cable and wireless communications, amongst the first to provide in-depth operations and technical trainings and actively defending the industry interests in front of government agencies.

As the team grew and accumulated technical expertise, the 1990s brought us to also serve the broadcast markets (FM, MMDS and TV). Being actively involved in systems designs, integration, commissioning and training, thanks to our vast broadband experience, our local business grew into many international projects from the Emir’s palace in Qatar, to installs of TV5 Broadcasting Undertakings in Africa and the integration of sweeping and ingress monitoring systems for cable operators in the Caribbean.

In 2004, Louis Sebastiani (LLB, MBA), son of the founder, joined the organization to pursue the family business with the objective of meeting the challenges facing the digital broadband telecommunications industry.
While we were able to cover national business from our head office in Laval (greater Montreal area), the increase in sales and new installs of broadcast transmitters and digital television systems have lead us to recruit the services of local sales engineering talent in Ontario. This strengthens our national presence, harvests closer relationships with our customers and solidifies our expertise in new emerging technologies. 

Our team philosophy is to solidify our efforts to become an Expert Partner in Broadband Telecommunications Systems. In 2004, Incospec won the “Dunamis Export Award” for outstanding business in Laval in the SME category. In 2009, we were honored as finalist for the “Dunamis 2009” award in the Entrepreneurial Succession Category for outstanding businesses in Laval.
